Marydale is an informal display typeface based on the hand-lettering of a colleague. Think Adobe® Tekton™ with personality. Character set includes upper- and lowercase, numerals, punctuation, and a few surprises. Kerned extensively. 12- and 24-point bitmap fonts. Works well with Adobe Type Manager™, Illustrator®, Aldus PageMaker®, QuarkXPress®, etc. Used commercially in national magazines and on local television. PostScript Type 1 version (TrueType™ also available). Install as usual.
This initial shareware offering has two weights, plain and bold, which behave as a family — that is, choosing a style of “Bold” when Marydale is the current font should get you Marydale Bold. Users who pay the $10 shareware fee (and include their return addresses) will receive the latest version of Marydale on disk, including a nice, heavy “Black” weight. I’ll also send along news of any additional fonts, utilities, or other products I might by then have available.
If you choose to keep Marydale, please send a check for $10 to:

Please mention where you picked up Marydale and whether you’re using the Type 1 version or the TrueType™ version. Feel free also to note comments, criticisms, bugs, suggestions, other characters and/or weights you’d like to see, etc. You’re welcome to pass Marydale along, but please pass along this document, too. Many thanks.
